HAPPY pre-Mother's Day!

The Saturday before Mother's Day, the kids gave me such a wonderful day! The kids were so excited this year about celebrating Mother's Day. It was so cute! They have talked about it for a week straight! It made me feel so special. It was so cute! They had been working together ALL WEEK... making 'secret' plans, asking me 'questions'. It made me so happy to see them work together & put forth so much effort on something, especially for Mother's Day. My kids are AmAZING! and i love them so much! They really did make this Mother's Day the BEST one ever!

I got my workout in that morning... and then we all got dressed and decided to take a trip out to The Gateway Mall in Salt Lake. This is the same mall, where my Half Marathon race had ended. It is an outdoor mall. Really beautiful. After the race, we had walked around just a little bit. Carrie & I saw this dress in the window of Ann Taylor. It was so cute. We went inside... and discovered a price tag of $149.00. K--I was proud of myself for finishing the race and thought that i deserved a 'treat'... but that was a bit steep.

Anyway, I knew that i had seen a few cute things in there... So when we went back on Saturday, that is where i wanted to look to get me something for Mother's day.

The kids were SO patient! Everyone knows that i HATE shopping! and usually ONLY go shopping if i have one of my sisters with me so that they can tell me what to get or what looks good. So now with Carrie AND Jen gone, i thought that i would be brave & give it a try, cause i really needed something to wear to church. It took me forever to decide and to try on and to choose... & I kept saying to myself... "grrrr! I wish Jen or Carrie were here!!!" It took me forever, but the kids Never even complained not ONCE! they were so great!

The dress that Carrie & i had seen the day of the race... it was 50% off!!! plus... on Saturday, they had an EXTRA 25% off everything! Sweet!
I did get that dress... and a few other things. But nothing that wasn't showcased on a manaquin. LOL! Without Jen & Carrie there to tell me what to get, I thought that i would be safe getting the things they had showcased on the manaquin. Ü

The day was beautiful! little bit chilly in the morning... but warmed up to perfect! There were lots of people out shopping and buzzing around. It was such a fun trip to Salt Lake!

On the way back to Mapleton, Rich took us to the Art City Trolley (Springville) for lunch. MMMmmm, i LOVE their salads! The Chef & the Oriental Express are two of my FAVS!

Sadie was sitting across from me at the table and this is how she was waiting patiently for her food to come...
Maya called as we were sitting there waiting... We LOVE you Maya!
