The start of a new project...
I just can't express how excited I am about the next HUGE project that I have planned! I have wanted to build a garage next to my home. With that garage, I am going to add an apartment/studio above the garage for the new home of SugarPlum Stitches! I can hardly wait! Well, after seemed forever to get the funding aproved... the funding is ready & waiting to be used!
LET's GET IT STARTED!!! Ü
My friend Aaron came over the other day, and measured out the spot where the garage will go. He measured out all the eavesments to the property line, etc. the one thing that i am terribly sad about is that I am going to have to loose one of my amazing old shade trees. Her name is Breezie! She has had that name since before we even moved into the house. She got that name because she is the 'momma' tree to SO MANY birds! We have been here for two springs now, and Breezie is always a wonderful hostess to so many new spring births. She has so many knooks and crannies in her that she is perfect protection for all the birdies. Which, BTW is one of the reasons that it might be a good thing to take her down. She is practically hallow. You can just about bet money on the fact that, in the evening here in Mapleton... no matter what time of year (especially summer) the wind starts to blow!! That is my bedroom window that you see next to Breezie. In the evenings, i would listen to the wind blow through Breezie. The wind can get pretty strong, and being as hollow as she is... it just might be safer to take her down anyway. It will be sad. We are for SURE keeping Boss though. He is the big strong tree just next to Breezie to the West.
It was so exciting, just to see markings go onto the ground. That meant that something was happening, and I could sorta get a sense of how it would lay out.
