Valentine/Easter/Christmas/whatever the reason Cookies

So this past Valentines day, both my sisters blogged about making my Mom's Sugar Cookie receipe. You can see here & here. We grew up with these cookies. They are a Favorite all around in my family. Well, this past Valentine's Day... i was feeling a bit Ba-Humbug-ish, however... we did make treats to take to our friends and neighbors; only i had done brownie hearts this year. Well, after seeing both of my sisters post about Mom's cookies... how could Sadie & I not make them? So we did... & they were SO GOOD! of course... I have to say that Sadie has become the most adorable little helper in the kitchen!
They have been some of my most treasured moments with her lately. love it!

Ohh! So happy to hear you made the cookies...hearts are good anytime of the year! Sadie, you look so grown up and adorable in your cute apron! You and Abbie are becoming quite the little chefs!!! Abbie just won first place in the district "healthy snack bake-off"! Does your school have anything like that? If so, you should enter!

Way to go, Jod. I know how hard it is to do something like that when you just aren't feeling it. Thank goodness for Sadie, though!

Our sugar cookie dough never seems to make it to the cookie stage. ;)

Believe me... we have that problem too~! I just always have to quadrabazillion the batch so that some make it past the dough snatchers! Ü
