Vintage Christmas, traditions...

One of my most favorite traditions as a little girl, and growing up at Christmas time was receiving a new tree ornament from my Grammy. Every year, each one of us kids would receive a new Christmas ornament from her.

I still have them. I love them.

My mom, has carried on that tradition for her grandbabies.

I love that.

I treasure my sweet little ornaments from my Grammy. I have fond memories of every single year as we unpacked the ornament boxes, each of us knew exactly which ornaments we would get to hang. We were always able to pick out 'our' ornaments.

Now that i am grown up (Ü) & have a home of my own, I still look forward to uncovering these sweet little ornaments. I know STILL know which ones i get to hang on the tree! Ü
Here are just a few of them that i wanted to share.
Ornaments just aren't made like this any more. They are truely my holiday treasures!
The first one has Always been my very favorite.

Traditions are wonderful! Your blog really tugged on my heart strings today...It made me so grateful my mom started such a special tradition. One that I know you will follow when you have grandkids some day. What a special lady Grammy was. I really miss her, especially this time of year.

I miss her too Mom. I am so glad she did such wonderful things like start the tradition of the ornaments, cause then it helps us reflect on how much we love her and remember how wonderful and amazing of a lady she is. Just seeing my ornaments, brings back SO MANY memories of Grammy. so many!
